Pure Love and Lots of Laughs

One thing I have truly found to love about my "job" (it is so hard to call it a job when I love doing it so much! lol) is having the pleasure to meet such wonderful people! I recently met with a family that reminded me so much of my own. Enjoying life, each other and I am sure there isn't a day doesn't go by where they do not laugh with one another! Just from the little time they let me into their lives, I know of two quotes that seem to fit them perfectly as well:

"Unconditional love is loving your kids for who they are, not for what they do...it isn't something you will achieve every minute of every day. But it is the thought we must hold in our hearts every day." - Stephanie Marston
"The most important thing a father can do for his children is to love their mother." - Henry Ward Beecher

Just look through these images and you will see so much love...and I couldn't leave out some of those laughs too! ;)

Promotion and Donation!

Hello! I just wanted to let everyone know that I will be taking $25 off my 90 min. session fee if you book by the end of September! You will also receive a free 5x7 print with any other print order. To top it off if you have had a session with me this year or are planning on having one and would like to order any prints, I will be donating 10% of my prints profits from now through November 15th, 2009 to http://www.childrenscardiomyopathy.org/index.php.

Having been diagnosed with Cardiomyopathy myself, I can not imagine dealing with this disease as a child and would love to help contribute to their cause. Thank you for your support!

And because I can not have a post with out a picture...here is Princess Lily.

This is Luke. He is our "puppy". We adopted him from North Shore Animal League America a year ago February. He was rescued from a Puppy Mill somewhere down south and taken to NSALAmerica. He was very scared and unsure of everything. I remember when we first got him he was so nervous he actually would hold onto you...dig his paws and claws (ouch!) right into your shoulders or arm as you held him...as if to say "don't let me go!" ...but with time and lots of love he warmed up. I can not imagine our lives with out him. The first thing my girls do is say "lets go see Lukie!" as they run down the stairs every morning!

The North Shore Animal League America is a no kill shelter and help so many animals in need of loving homes. They are having another big Puppy Mill rescue on August 24th. They are in need of help. If you are interested in foster care for any of the rescued animals or if you have any background that could benefit them the rescued animals contact them here:

http://www.nsalamerica.org/about/volunteer.html

...and write you are interested in the Puppy Mill rescue.

You can also help by donating items. Here is some information that was sent to me and I will pass along to all of you!

"If you would like to collect supplies we need new or gently used towels or washcloths and new toys and bones (a list of approved toys and bone can be found here: http://www.nsalamerica.org/articles/training/safe-toys.html). New pet beds are always welcome. Sheets and blankets are also welcome with a few limitations. Sheets must only be flat sheets, we cannot use any of the fitted sheets with elastic. Blankets cannot have fringe that can be chewed on. Other items can be chose at your discretion, we appreciate all donations. Items can be dropped off at our Port Washington, NY facility 7 days a week from 10 am – 9 pm (directions can be found here: http://www.nsalamerica.org/about/directions.html ) or mailed to this address:

Cousins {ny-li child photographer}

"Cousins are friends that will love you forever."

I am in love with this shoot! These sweet cousins were so much fun and such well behaved children! To watch them interact with each other made my day...I can just picture them all together on holidays and 10 years down the road when they are all in school! How great it is to have such wonderful friends also as family. I was honored to be able to capture their sweet bond so one day they may look back and remember where it all started! I can not wait to finish going through the images of these gorgeous cousins!

Together {ny-long island family photographer}

I had the chance to do a session with a wonderful family at the beach this past weekend. They touched my heart in a special way, because I know how difficult it is to live so far away from those you love. Some of them live close, but some remain close at heart despite the miles between them. It was an honor to be able to capture their time and memories together so they may treasure and cherish them for a lifetime. Happy Birthday Mrs. K!!!
