My Girls...{NY- Long Island Child Photographer}

With all the rain we have had lately I have had to reschedule a lot of sessions. So I thought I would share something a little personal as I embrace a day full of milestones for my girls...

It feels like just yesterday I was standing over two baby cribs watching two of the most precious angels on earth sleep. Feeling the greatest sense of peace just to witness their tiny chests raise up and down and four new hands full of wrinkles some how find each other when they were close enough in reach. I can still see those first smiles, the way their eyes struggled to see more then they could, and those sweet coos and moans that sounded like the most beautiful music I have ever heard. The look of amazement as they sat up and saw this big world in a whole new light, and those belly laughs that go right to your heart (especially with those toothless grins). How their connection has been something I have always been in awe of. The way they would talk to each other in the morning as they lay crib to crib before they could even speak, or how they would be in two different rooms with me in between watching in amazement that they were doing exactly the same thing with out having a clue…or did they?

I have tears just remembering…and as easy as it is too fill up with emotion and wish I could relive some of those moments just once more I realize the best is yet to come. I no longer sit and day dream what their voices will sound like or if they will have a love for animals like mommy or be athletic like daddy. I am living those dreams every day and I am embracing each moment blessed to have been given such an amazing gift or rather gifts. Watching my girls grow together and in their own way at the same time, feeling once again the wonder and bliss of childhood only this time knowing so much more and smiling to myself that I finally “get it”.

Being able to witness childhood from the outside is something I never thought I would cherish with my soul. Life passes by so quickly and I live for those moments that seem to make time stand still and the entire world quiet, if only for a short while. Here are a few of those moments that I hold close to my heart…

  1. These photographs are precious!! What you wrote above is so touching, and you brought me to tears. I can see their bond in the pictures you captured. They are so lucky to have each other and to have you as their mom too!!! I'm so glad that you are in this line of work. You have a great gift, and your passion, emotion, and genuineness shows within the product at the end.
