Timeless...

"To the outside world we all grow old. But not to brothers and sisters. We know each other as we always were. We know each other's hearts. We share private family jokes. We remember family feuds and secrets, family griefs and joys. We live outside the touch of time." ~Clara Ortega

I had such a fun morning at the beach with this adorable family! Mr. J and Ms. M are completely perfect! They are both so sweet and compliment each other so well. They will have such wonderful stories to look back on and tell their own children one day. Cherish each new day and every unforgettable moment childhood brings.

And always try to live a few moments every day outside the touch of time...

One door closes...

...and so many more open.
This beautiful and amazingly sweet girl will be graduating Pre-K in a few short days. This is such a powerful time in both a parent and a child's life. Emotions flow through every part of your soul in giant waves from excitement, fear, relief and back again. It is a time to cherish and look on in wonder as your child grows into his/her own and excels in new ways. To let go ever so slightly and send them off on a new journey that you helped prepare them for. Tears will flow, if you are like me...quite a few lol, but they are tears that hold so many treasured memories and so many wishes for a bright future where all their dreams will come true.

Thank you Miss S. I love the beautiful light that shines through your eyes and I know you will go so far next year in Kindergarten! Hugs to your mommy too! ;)

I had the honor yet again to meet with the most lovely family! As I sit here trying to think of the perfect way to describe them I can not stop smiling...from Mom and Dad, to both children and even their cute little dog...they are just wonderful and genuine. They have waited so patiently for their sneak peak of beautiful Miss. E on her special First Communion day. Thank you B family...more to come very soon! ;)

Happy Mothers Day! {ny - long island child photographer}

I came across this poem shortly after my girls were born. I do not know who wrote it but I wanted to share it with all of you.

Mom, Now that I'm a Mother

Until I became a Mother,
I did not understand,
The profound sense of love,
In a Mother's heart and hands.

As I whisper, "Mommy loves you",
I rock my precious child to sleep.
Small perfection in my arms,
Sweet breaths, slow and deep.

I now see me as a baby,
You're rocking me to sleep.
You whisper, "Mommy loves you,
My heart is yours to keep."

At last I recognize your love,
As a Mother I now see.
As I hold and love my child,
You feel that love for me.

I will always be your baby,
Despite the years that pass.
You have given me my life,
And a Mother's heart to last.

The greatest thanks I can offer,
More than words can ever say.
Is to give my child the love,
You gave me everyday.

I wish my own mom, my mother in law, my sister, friends and family and all the wonderful and amazing moms out there the most memorable Mother's Day yet!

And now a "sneak peak" for a special mom I met last week...just in time for Mothers Day! Miss N was a sweet heart and gorgeous from the inside out! More to come soon...

pretty princess {ny - long island child/family photographer}

I am back! Thank you for being patient with me. I am so excited to finally be back home and just in time to share a beautiful spring session with you.

I met with this sweet family on a gorgeous Saturday. I am in love with this shoot in every way as it holds so many of my favorite inspirations. Belly laughs, the magic in tiny rainbow bubbles floating across the beach, curls falling against shoulders, tiny toes lost in the sand, sweet and silly smiles, tender kisses, warm embrace, simplicity and grace...

Thank you Mom, Dad and pretty princess B for having so much fun with me! Childhood is a time to hold onto and remember, capturing a piece of it for you was amazing!
